If your ring is sold in several metals as variants (for example an option called Metal with 18k Yellow Gold, 18k Rose Gold and Platinum), the 3D ring can switch metal when the shopper picks a variant.
Available on the Growth and Pro plans.
Set it up
- In the app, open the product.
- Under Metal follows variant option, choose the product option, for example Metal.
- For each value, choose what the ring shows: yellow gold, rose gold or platinum.
- Click Save.
The viewer now follows the variant picker on your product page. Shoppers can still use the metal swatches in the viewer.
Good to know
- The viewer has exactly three metals. Map white gold to platinum, the closest look.
- Values you don't map leave the ring as it is.
- It works with the theme's standard variant picker, variant links (
?variant=in the address), and most custom pickers that update the product form. - The default metal (shown before the shopper picks anything) is set on the same page.
Doesn't follow?
Some themes use custom variant pickers that don't announce changes in a standard way. Contact us with your store address and we'll look at your theme.
